We are in the fourth week of our placement. So far everything we have done has been really interesting, not just for the team of volunteers, but for the community, and for our own personal development. To have new experiences helps us to develop, while also helping us to have a better relationship with our fellow team members.
I am grateful to our local partner organisation ADES and to Progressio ICS for having given me the opportunity to be part of this programme. It has been my dream to become part of this excellent group of young people working and helping with the development of their community.
On our placement, we learn techniques for protecting the environment and the natural resources. We search for ways to recycle household rubbish, which then reduces contamination in our community. For example, with plastic bottles we can make eco-bricks that can we used for all sorts of construction work.
I know that this will be a great experience and will change my life.

Aprendiendo y Creciendo
Estamos en la cuarta semana de trabajo y hasta la fecha todo lo que hemos realizado es muy interesante tanto para el grupo, para la comunidad y para el desarrollo personal. Tener nuevas experiencias nos ayuda a un mejor desarrollo, también a tener una mejor relación con los demás compañeros y compañeras.
Le doy gracias a ADES y Progressio ICS por haberme dado la oportunidad de formar parte del programa ya que para mí era un deseo muy grande poder pertenecer a este excelente grupo de jóvenes que trabajan y ayudan al desarrollo comunitario.
En este programa podemos aprender técnicas sobre el cuido del medio ambiente, la protección de los recursos naturales y buscar alternativas de reciclar objetos desechables, así reducir la contaminación en nuestra comunidad. Con las botellas podemos realizar bio-bloques que podemos hacer cualquier tipo de construcciones.
Yo sé que será una gran experiencia que cambiará mi vida.
