We believe that with the right skills and knowledge, people can overcome the barriers that keep them poor.
- So, our expert and committed development workers and volunteers share practical skills with local partner organisations – and work alongside them to support poor and marginalised people, especially women, to make lasting improvements to their own lives.
We believe that with the ability and confidence to stand up for their rights, people can challenge the unfair power structures that keep them poor.
- So, our development workers and volunteers share advocacy skills with local partner organisations – and work alongside them to enable poor and marginalised people, especially women, to have a say in the decisions that affect their lives.
We believe that international decision-makers must prioritise the needs of those with least power and least wealth.
- So, our international policy team and our campaigners make sure the voices of the poor and marginalised people and communities we work with, are heard by UK, EU and UN decision-makers.
