Progressio development workers are experienced and professionally qualified specialists who offer skills, expertise and knowledge that is not available locally. The key role of our development workers is to transfer their skills and knowledge to our partner organisations. Together with the partner organisations, they work alongside local people, supporting them to find solutions to the problems they face.
Eriasafu Lubowa, Progressio's Development Worker who is a specialist in advocacy and communications, shares his experience and achievements so far in the capacity building of the Malawi Civil Society Organisation Nutrition Alliance (CSONA) secretariat, and its member organisations around advocacy and communication.
Kailee Jordan, from Canada, is a Progressio development worker in Somaliland working as a Gender-Based Violence Research Adviser, with the Amplify Change Civil Society Coalition, made up of 12 local civil society organisations.

Lubowa Eriasafu, from Uganda, was until recently a Progressio development worker in Malawi, with Concern Worldwide Malawi (supporting the Malawi Civil Society Organisations Nutrition Alliance - CSONA), where he worked as an Advocacy and Communications Advisor. Prior to this, he worked as a Progressio development worker in Somaliland (2013-2014) with Save the Children International Somaliland, as an Organisational Capacity Building Adviser.

Tafadzwa Roberta Muropa, from Zimbabwe, was a Progressio development worker in Malawi from March 2013 to June 2014, with the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) Archdiocese of Lilongwe.
What have you done since leaving Progressio and what are you currently doing?
Sarah, from Uganda, is currently working as a Water Advocacy and Communication Development Worker, alongside the National Foundation for Development and Human Rights and also the Progressio Yemen office.

Regina, from Zimbabwe, was a Progressio Development Worker in Somaliland with the Horn Youth Development Association (HYDA), from August 2010 to January 2012.
I had a short stint with the BBC World Service Trust, now rebranded BBC Media Action, where I managed a multimillion UNICEF-funded Nutrition, Health and Hygiene Project and a UNDP-funded HIV Health Project in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
